About outside the box
In a world where we are creating products at alarming rates, we get people like Gareth Box who dedicate their work to the Upcycle Movement. Outside The Box take old and unused furniture and breathe new life in to it, intercepting it before it ends up in landfill to decay. They use their knowledge of materials, to turn what was once a functional piece of furniture in to something new, to decorate and give personality to our homes.
Brand Discovery
Through our brand discovery session with Outside The Box, we were able to uncover that they have an admiration of Art Deco style and what it continues to represent. Art Deco boasts fine craftsmanship, so we committed to producing a brand identity which gave Gareth the confidence to present his business which matched his confidence in his skills as a craftsman. We discovered that Gareth was passionate about using his skills to express his creativity as well as bring joy to others by bringing unique styles
Brand Development
We aimed to pay homage to the Art Deco style without directly impersonating it, we set out to repurpose it so it remained recognisable, modern and adaptable. The brand identity has hidden elements and has joint-like form, to ensure the identity is flexible across
Workshops
Bubble Yogi workshops are the most common services they offer. It is through the workshops they are able to present the opportunity for her lucky participants to succumb to the joy and playfulness. Through social media and printed assets, we were able to express the value one can receive from partaking in her workshops. The aim was to reach parent’s of curious children and event organisers, to motivate them to hire Bubble Yogi to provide workshops within their spaces.
